My Le Mans Blue E90 LCI (318 diesel auto)

I've been visiting and reading this forum for quite a while now. And finally yesterday I found an opportunity to take some pictures of my E90 LCI.

I bought the car from a German dealership just north of Frankfurt and brought it home to Norway just after easter. The car is a 318 diesel automatic with the M Sports Package, and a long list of extras. Bi-Xenon, Leather, Navi Professional, Bluetooth, etc... Why a 318 you may ask, why not a 330 or a 335 diesel? Well the reason is taxes, a 330d E92 from 2009 would in Norway cost $113.000,-.. And my 2009 318 cost me just about $60.000,- with 12.500 miles on it. The car was built in October 2009.

The car is still stock, but I have some plans for it... I'll use the original 17" wheels in wintertime with studded tires. And during the coming winter I guess I'll order some new 19" wheels so they are good to go next spring. I also plan to buy some BMW Performance bits and pieces like, front grille, carbon front splitters, carbon rear spoiler and maybe the carbon diffusor. And if the car doesn't sit right on the 19" wheels I'll probably get some H&R springs for it. And the oval rear exhaust has to go... Problably I'll get a new rear silencer from Hartge, Eisenmann, or G-Power.

Please let me know what you think of the car, and my plans for it. Any input is received with gratitude.

Garage List
2011 BMW 335i  [4.66]
It's beautiful! Excellent choice and nice color. M Sport makes the car look so good.

I like your planned mod list. Definitely the black grilles, they will match the window trim. I have the glossy BMW Performance ones on mine.

Some 18" or 19" wheels would make it look great, it's the best looking wheel size for the E90 IMO.

Congrats!

Think of the cars I could get for $60k in the US...

2010 Dodge Challenger SRT8
2012 Mustang Shelby GT500
2009 BMW E92 Coupe
2010 Corvette Grand Sport
2010 CTS V

All of these are way over the $150.000 mark here in Norway.. So I can't get one..

I think it's bacause of the taxes on cars and fuel, and the gas/oil in the North sea that's the reason why Norway Inc. makes such good money...

I know... And the only chrome on the car is the front grill. The car itself is a 'blackline' so window trim is black from factory..

Only thing is with these mods mine will be just like yours, only LCI...
But that doesn't have to be a bad thing, does it?

Equally as bad down under. 335i = 110k.

Anyway great looking car! I regret not getting Le Mans Blue for my car. However... how did you get out of the car after positioning it there lol?

Bought another BMW a couple of months ago..

This one's a classic..

A BMW 1602 from 1973, and it's got hostory for me personally..
My dad bought the car in 1974 with some 1500 km on the clock, and then he sold it on.
Now I bought the car back from the son of the guy that bought the car from my dad.

And is't in great shape.. Just 115k km on the clock, still it's got the original paintwork. Sad thing it's got a cracked windshield, but since I work at a garage that should'nt be a problem either..
