Fender rolling/Spring Questions

Evening People,
I wasn't sure where to post this as it applies both in suspension as well as cosmetic mods. So forgive me if its in the wrong area.

I recently put my old rims back on and went with my old tire size as well. I had always encountered very minor rubbing in the back when I went over a dip too fast but that was it.

I am moving to Austin in 3 weeks and have realized that in order for me to drive halfway across the country I will need to address the rubbing issue as my car will be packed with my clothes, 3 computers, a dog, etc. and I know the roads in the rural areas won't be that great. I'm think my options are:

1. Roll the rear fenders
2. New springs

So what's the best option here? I don't want the car to drop at all and I don't want the rubbing all the way to TX. Springs would be easy because I can go almost anywhere to have them done. Fender rolling will be trickier and would mean an hour and a half down to LTBMW.

Should your recommendation be to go with springs, can you point me in the direct of a manufacturer (Eibach, HR, BMW Performance etc.) as well as a type (sport, race etc)?

Thanks for your time!
B

What are the wheel and tire specs?

Springs will be more difficult and expensive and you will need to get an alignment as well.

No really an option, as I like my tires. I think the tires are actually rubbing on the edge closest to the outside of the tire, not within the well itself. Would fender rolling solve this issue?

maybe, if the rubbing is slight. but a smaller tire is ideal.

Because I am running the OEM sport package suspension with non run flats might be why I am getting the rub. The rubbing only occurs when I go over dips, not with everyday driving. However I am concerned that if I pack the car that I might encounter it more often, which is why I am wondering if springs are the way to go vs a fender roll.

fender roll is useless. you are rubbing against the fender liner if anything... you are on OEM wheels, so you cant be rubbing the fender, even with non runflats

To be clear. I am running Miro 366s, NOT OEM wheels. Rear tire size is 275/30/19.

its possible.. does it look like there is cutting on the sidewall of the tire from your fender? or spent rubber on the inside of the fender?

A little wear on the top of the sidewall. No spent rubber.

Quick question: Will I need to get the fenders resprayed or (so long as they are rolled properly) will I be ok as is?

Thanks again, and thanks for the offer. If I was passing through CO I'd take you up on your offer. I've heard good things about Long Tran BMW out here and I am hoping I can get in before I leave for TX. I'll inquire about the eastwood. Thanks again!
