Changing Car

Hi all thinking of changing my e91 325d for a 5 series as I need more room. I'm thinking of a 530d as I had one years ago a 53 plate and it was a fantastic car. My only concern is fuel economy I'm happy with the 325d that's not bad but moving to a bigger car on probably an auto box will it hit my wallet hard. I've looked at the 520d but its hard to get a good spec on those plus the drop in power can I grow up and go for consumption over speed!

Just wondered if anyone has any experience of either of these car or even gone from a 325d to 5 series.

There will be little to no difference between the 25d and 30d in economy terms, its essentially the same engine.

The bigger car will use a little more fuel, but its not going to "hit you hard", you'll lose a couple MPG. Switching to an Auto will cost you more, but it'll cost you more in a 3 series as well.

A 520d will probably be pretty bad after driving the 6 cylinder 3er.
