Lux H8 VS WeissLicht LED

Hey guys, I'm planning on upgrading my angel eyes and debating between

Lux H8 and the WeissLicht LED kit. I've read a lot about the Lux H8 and how their supposedly the best for angel eyes (aside from the OSS conversion) but not much about WeissLicht LED's. If you guys have any suggestions or experience with either, it would be great.

thanks.

LUX are brighter in daylight than any other brand as of right now.

I have them too...

I picked up the WeissLicht LEDs after one of my RD's died out on me.
Honestly, they're not as bright.

Go with LUX!

Stay away from Weisslicht, it is terrible. I put them on mine and unless it is quite dark outside, you cannot tell there are LED halos on the car

Thanks for the advice guys, much appreciated.

Awesome, Lux it is!

Now I just need to find a vendor or a local member selling a pair lol.

Seems like they only sell it through their website but shipping to Canada is 30 bucks plus the possible duty charges.

if i cant find one soon probably just order it from the site as i've noticed my passenger side lights are starting to dim compared to the driver side. Or maybe its just me finding even more of a reason to upgrade ASAP lol.

You're gonna have to order it from the site. I just ordered mine... should be getting them this coming week... I'll let you know if there's any duty charges

Also, don't forget to check the Classifieds area for Lux. A used pair of Lux isn't going to be any worse for wear than brand new.

Make sure you check the Canada one as well as the general E90post one for exterior parts: http://www.e90post.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=178

Lux is small and easy to ship.

Good luck! And take photos once you're done!

The shipping documentation on my Lux order indicated "Made in the USA" so there was no duty. Had to pay Canada Post brokerage fee and tax though.

To be honest with you,

I had the RD for a a year, went thru 2 pairs (1 side kept on messing up) i switched to GP Thunders (regular halogens) and im pretty happy with the results. The AE's are pretty white and you can see them no problem during the day in direct sun light.

Lux' are good though..... Try a better halogen, you may be surprised. And will end up saving you atleast 200 bucks

You get what you pay for... Lux's are double the cost of the Weisslicht's. You can't possibly compare the two or expect the Weisslicht's to be as bright...

Here is a picture of the LUX H8 V3 vs. the RD Brand. the RD brand is close enough to the Weisslicht so you can see the difference:

I guess i'm the only one happy with Weisslicht? Yes, something better is out there. But the rest isnt crap just for that reason. Just because M3's are available doesnt automatically mean that 325, 335 and all other 3'er are a piece of junk.

I must admit that I got Lux on the car as we speak. But i've switched just because I lost one of the driver's side AE screw. So its not tight in there and the bulb doesnt lit as much as the fully fixed passenger side (see pic).

I will have this set for sale at something like $75 (including all screws; just have to find a spare one); but people bash so much on this product that I dont even know if i'll be able to even sell them.

The difference is that you have an e90... on the e92 some of the solutions are literally a piece of crap due to the design of the e92's headlights.

Gotcha. I went to the conclusion that if E90 weisslicht = E90 Lux; then it must be the same for E92; which I never saw in person.

I stand corrected.
