Probably because if you bought it,you'd then wish you had bought either a VR6 or G60 for a little bit more.
Lovely cars though!

I think it would retain its value better if it was not modified in any way. The attraction of these sort of cars is enhanced if they are in good condition and completely original and unmolested - in my view of course.

If your looking for a Corrado, the VR6 storm is a genuine classic. For a 90's car the pace was amazing (0-60 in 7 ish) and will always hold its value, due to a strong following.

Agree with the no mods thing... but have u seen the wheels on that thing???? Think shopping trolleys have better wheels on them!

Yep re the storm.. but still commanding decent money if you can find a clean one.

Thought behind this car is can buy it and run it and not lose too much cash ... and always liked the look of these.

As long as you keep the Rims 'real' you'll be fine.

Think BBS mesh style rims in silver, or with polished rims and gold spokes. Nice.

I was thinking that ... the gold spokes ... but was wondering if i was keeping it a bit tooo 'real' with them.

Trying to get hold of the guy at the mo so i can pop over and see the thing, before i order new wheels and head unit!

I'm not convinced I would go for Gold rims on the white car.

Perhaps silver with red centres - like M3-FAST has. You could even consider a white rim with red centre and red lip if you wanted it a little bit DTM.

I'd deffo get the car first lol...

I had a Golf GTi 2.0 16v of the same vintage. Apart from an oil leak that nobody could cure it was faultless for 90K miles.

I used to have a 16v Corrado. One of the best cars I ever owned. Maybe I can dig out some photos.

I drove one of these back in the day and LOVED it - it felt so fast and sounded amazing... Crazy how in those days an engine of that size only produced 170 bhp though!

I think it looks a little old. White makes it worse. Brand New expensive sporty cars look good in White. Not ancient rotters!

They do look good in red however!

As for this one however: Absolutely hideous!

On what planet would anyone pay 4,800 for that monstrosity. Bloody sacrilege! This idiot should be taken somewhere quiet and put out of his fcuking misery!

It was 170bhp in the golf (2.8) & 190 bhp in the Corrado (2.9)
