At least it's the 2 litre-the 1.8's were really cack I believe. I had the same one as above back in the day-lovely looking car etc but still not much poke. VR6 or even the G60 supercharged are the way to go.

now you need to decide on what to do about the wheels

BBS RS/RM cost 2k with decent tyres, so I'd suggest Lenso BSX's in 16" with 4x100, ET25 offset

well... to do list:

headunit
speakers
brakes
alloys
exhaust.

None of these things need doing mind... but all will be done!

Love the BBS CH ... but silly money!

Have a very bad feeling... this 'cheap motor' is going to cost me a fortune!!!

You paid strong money for that, even at 54000 miles a 16v Corrado isn't a desirable car, and I'd be very surprised if you don't lose a few s come resale time.

The only desirable and sought after Corrado was the VR6, particularly the storm and lesser known campaign model, these are the cars with the cult following.

Still yours does look like a good example, the 9a 16v would benefit from some KR cams, as they are a bit flat as stock, but I would keep it 100% stock or OEM visually as that's the Beauty with this particular example

To be honest i dont think i paid that much for it... trying to find another car in the same condition (regardless of mileage) and there isnt much out there!

As for resale - to be honest ive lost so much in depreciation in the past on cars - that even if i give it away next yr ill be quids in!!

Agreed re the VR6 mind ... would have loved one. And keeping it looking as original as possible is def the aim. Anything done to it will be with that im mind.

Trying to source a becker stereo at the moment.... wanna keep the inside looking as it was - rather then shoving a 2011 spec head unit in there.

No it never made any of the mags, I wasn't one for show cars etc etc but perhaps I should have done! I should never have sold it, even let the plate go with it :-/

Thats the double of my old car. Loved it to death, maybe the best drivers car I've ever owned. Yes it's only a 16V but I could barely afford the insurance that never mind a VR^. In fact the only reason I had to sell it was as I'd just bought my first house and couldn't afford the insurance renewal.
The real sickener was that I bought a rover 214Si as a run about only to have the head gasget blow a few months laterr...the 600 it cost me to get it fixed would have paid for the insurance on the Corrado!

The Rover was pitiful, a major mistake but the Corrado combined with my first mortgage was bankrupting me. The k series engine in the rover was good...until it blew up!

But yeah I do remember the Corrado being brilliant but it was 12 years since I drove it. I seemed to remember that I was in love with the electronic pop up spoiler.

Probably, although mine was pretty reliable in the time I had it.

Still think it looks really fresh and this thread is making me want to go out any buy one!

I also think the candy White looks better now than ever, when I owned mine White cars weren't very fashionable!
