Oem Cf Deck Spoiler Installation

Hi, someone told me that I can't use 3M tape to install my oem cabon fiber spoiler on the rear.
Is that true? How did everyone install theirs?
Anyone can help me out?

you use the glue. you can't use tape becaues the oem cf deck spoiler is hollow. glue is a stronger adhesive than tape... but it'll be a bish* just to take it off... if you can take it off...

That's not true..........I currently have the OEM CF spoiler on with 3M tape. It has to be just the right size and amount or else you will see the tape.

Get the right sized tape and put it around the edges. I have it on with 3m tape for about 2 months now and it's fine.

so you just taped the edges? i'm sure it will work... but because theres not alot of surface area to work with... that would be less effective than glueing but i guess glueing would be the ultimate adhesive in this case

I've always used ONLY tape and have never had a problem. BTW, my brother in law is a body shop man. He got me the tape and says it is really strong. No need for glu if you can get a good amount of contact between the spoiler and the deck lid.
