I've got both, they are pretty cheap these days, if you don't like the one you've bought just get the other.....

For what its worth my Xbox gets used much more, but mainly cos I've got these suckers set up for to it...save me having to rag the 335 every time I feel the urge to go a little drive

Where is your clutch and gear stick?

You can buy a Logitech G27 for your PS3 for under 200, sometimes lower with special offers. RRP is about 380 and it makes it ultra easy to whip all the 10 years old playing with joypads at GT5.

The PS3 wheels also work with your PC and that's when driving games become far more realistic.

My setup is a little basic comparing to what others have.

Only 1 22" screen, Logitech G27 and Logitech Z-5500 sound sound speakers. Over 500w is enough in the bedroom.

LBP2 - Great, but REALLY not much more than LBP1+ a lot of user made content and some tweaks. I love it, but it didn't change the game AT ALL, hence why it bombed sales wise.

Killzone 3 - Nothing wrong with it, but it lost all the grittiness of the second outing and went 'COD' on us. For 3 hours I had fun, then I forgot it existed.

Motorstorm Apocalypse - I'm sure MS weren't exactly quaking in their boots!

SOCOM4 - Really?

Infamous 2 - Just lol. Bog standard third person action game, done well I grant you.

All consoles have exclusives, but they have to matter. Uncharted is the PS3's Zelda - it is amazing, iconic, groundbreaking. The rest of your list are just forgettable also-rans mate, sorry.

Matt
Agree totally on that mate, with regards to overall quality but I was just trying to emphasise the quantity as such as you just mentioned that the list of exclusives was tiny that's all really.

Disappointed that another exclusive Twisted Metal is not out till next Feb 2012 now, a new take on an old PC game called Quarantine by Gametek which was so much fun back in the day.

Think that the only exclusives for the XBOX that NEVER appeared on the PC are the Forza racing games and Alan Wake...........

Since my 335i is an auto I thought my microsoft wheel simulates my real driving set up Love to have a G27 but haven't got a desk to commader, the Microsoft wheel is easy to get out and hide, and beats using a joy pad

I've got a few of both in different flavours - new slim xbox is a lot quieter than the slim ps3.

IMO - ps3 for GT5 only
Xbox for everything else - the online side of xbox is light years ahead of the ps3 in every way.

Re media sharing - xbox has media centre extender - therefore offering same capabilities as ps3. Only thing missing is a bluray player.

Dont bother with Kinect - it's crap. Move on Ps3 is better if you want that kind of experience. I just stick to regular controllers or wheel now.

Considering you have to pay for it then I would expect nothing less, it's free on PS3 and tbh whenever I play online it works although I don't go online a lot.

Pity MS Games for Windows Live is so poor on the PC platform cheers Microshaft.

My new PS3 Slim manual states Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD for Blu Ray movie playback along with the usual Dolby Digital stuff btw.

Apparently to get HDMI output sound you chain the AV device between the PS3 and the TV using two HDMI Cables, bingo!

Thanks for the replies lads. One thing I have noticed and appreciate about members of this forum is the wealth of experience in a diverse range of topics. Looks like I have my heart set on the xbox now! Will you know how I find it once I'm up and running!

Out of curiosity, the topic made me think about how old some of you may be....as at 27 my wife already reckons I'm a big kid still playing computer games lol
