Lag between gears

Has anyone noticed on the 6MT, that if you change gears really quick there is a slight pause before the car accelerates again? Is this some form of torque dampening or is it the CDV?

Have you removed yours? Is there a DIY article for it?

FWIW, this symptom is what my car has been doing and I think it's something else. It will just keep getting worse and worse.

My opinions in rank order of probability:
1) turbo lag [unless you are talking about high rev changes]
2) DTC cutting in and backing off power due to momentary wheelspin
3) CDV

CDV only gets to the top of my list if you are at high revs when changing [eliminating turbo lag] and DTC is switched completely off [eliminating the nanny effect] and the effect still persists
