Anyone in CO running Cobb?

I'd love to hear feedback from anyone running Cobb, especially if you have had the recall work (HPFP, Injectors and Software) done.

Yeah, I'm running the Cobb tune on an otherwise stock car. So far, it has been a good flash-and-forget tune. The car is consistent, doesn't have limp issues (heavily pounding on wood), and even ran it out at HPR for the Spring HPDE. Tune ran strong and never overheated, which is more than I can say for the stock brakes after the third and forth lapping sessions.

Never got the car dynoed though, so I have no idea what WHP is before or after the tune. I'm sure some of the other FBO or near-FBO cars are putting down significantly more power, but for the simplicity of install/uninstall at the push of a button, nothing else comes close. If you're looking for a good COTS tune, I definitely recommend it.

COTS... LOL it's not COTS. You can't adjust anything about it outside of maybe a map switch. COTS would be Procede or JB3/4 with the ability to adjust boost, timing, meth control, etc.

Just sayin

Now the software I implement, SOA, Siebel, CRMOD, etc. Those are custom off the shelf peices of software.

Thanks guys. I have enjoyed the simplicity of the SSTT and JB+ style tunes, just would like a little more power which is a big thing at our altitude. I recently had my recall work done, new HPFP, injectors, software and am hesitant about putting either of those back on.

I really like the extra features of the Procede/JB4 in terms of what they can do with the display and give you direct access to info, shift tones/lights etc., but really am hesitant about the install of those, and their tune mapping at our altitude. I'll never be adding Meth or anything like that so don't need that feature. Most I'll ever do is probably exhaust, FMIC.

I don't want to go anywhere to have software installed/uninstalled - don't even know if there is even a GIAC dealer here.

So the Cobb seems pretty safe for us here the way it is tuned and sounds like it gives a decent bump in performance, and I like the easy install/uninstall.

There's a GIAC dealer up in Foco

I've sold a few Cobb's to guys in CO. They love it.

I'm sure they will chime in soon. I know one of them already made a thread.

Lol. COTS... as in Commercial Off the Shelf, wise guy. If it was custom, it wouldn't really be "off the shelf" now, would it?

But you're right, the Cobb flash doesn't let you modify anything, short of changing a few maps. If you're looking for more flexibility or like tweaking things around, then the Procede and JB4 would be the better bet for now.

I'm not really interested in squeezing every single horse out of my car, so the Cobb was a perfect fit for me. For you drag racers and mod junkies, that's an entirely different story.

Indeed, that's true too. Have heard it both ways so I stand corrected (i'm actually sitting however).
