Here’s a potential wireless solution:

USB/Serial Adapter (part 1)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16812156009

USB Type A female to female adapter (part 2)
http://sewelldirect.com/USB-adapter-...-to-female.asp

Enhanced Data Rate Wireless/Bluetooth USB Adapter (part 3)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16833139122

1. Connect part 1 to Procede unit.
2. Connect part 1 to part 2.
3. Connect part 2 to part 3.
4. Reinstall the ECU cover and everything else.
5. Use your laptop (w/ Bluetooth) to connect to Procede.
6. Load maps via Bluetooth!

I wondering though if the Procede software can use Bluetooth as a communication channel to connect to part 3. Does anyone know if this would work???

Hi

This won't work. I don't want to explain in detail why, but basicly plugging only some USB devices together will not result in a wireless solution. There is already a working PROcede wireless remote access. Read about it following the link in my sig.

Cheers
Eugen

it'd be nice if you could elaborate more as to why it won't work. if the wireless USB device converts the signal to a Bluetooth signal why wouldn't the laptop (w/ Bluetooth) "not" be able to communicate with the device? if it won't work fine, but more information is needed to prove why it won't work.
