I was wondering something and maybe this post answers my question.... are the updates compatible on all BMW models or do they release a separate update for each model?

Huh? My car was updated to 25.00.02, but they didn't go near the ECU. Like many ppl, I'm waiting for a fix for my broken RTTI. Why would they need to mess with the ECU for another simple s/w download? I don't think that's correct. Perhaps JSpira can explain.

btw -- PM me your dealer and SA's name.

From what I hear not unless there is a reason to. However if your car is on the boat right now there is probably a good chance that you either don't have the arrow pop up or a working VR or RTTI so it shouldn't be too difficult to convince the dealer that you need it when you pick it up. Another day or so at the dealer... Frusturating isn't it.

Fleet, JSpira...any rumblings about 26.00.00 being imminent?

I would also like to see the SIB, I would feel more comfortable with the SIB in hand when I returned to the dealer for VR fix. Someone must have the SIB by now.

Anyone know if the latest update fixes the RTTI problem?

Is the latest update 25.01.00 or 25.01.01 or 25.02.00? Seeing the SIB would help since it lists the version and what it fixes.

Steve, rumor has it 26.00.00 breaks the flux capacitor on 335s built after March.

BTW on a somewhat sad note: My tech upgraded me to v24.00.04 2 days ago accidently (from 21.01). This dealer has taken to keeping the last good working version handy until they are assured they have a good new version (25.01 in this case). Well he accidently set me up on v24, so did not get the desired fixes.

SA will swing by my house to pick up my car and drop off loaner so they can "get it right" next week

Ironic, isn't it.

I got 25.00.04 this week. The assistant service manager had instructions to test voice command before returning the car. So the phone call I got was, do you want to keep the loaner or should we return the car and take it back next week? I elected to get my own car back (loaner was a 328xi which just didn't seem to handle very well, unlike a 328xi loaner I had from them a few months ago). My car goes back on Wednesday.

I wonder what Progman version we'll see and what changes it will have when my 550i is built in mid September.
