Cylinder 5 Spark Plug Replacement After 5k Miles?
Need some help trouble shooting my car. Overview:
late '07 build e90 335i 35k miles hpfp and injector recalls performed FMIC, DCI, Procede Rev. III changed spark plugs at 30k miles due to cylinder 5 misfires. solved the problem, car ran very strong since. have started experiencing cylinder 5 misfires again on the tune, stock map doesn't misfire. exact same symptoms as before. i've ordered more spark plugs and will switch out the cylinder 5 plug as troubleshooting step. unsure if it's the spark plug yet, but if so, why would a spark plug go bad after only 5k miles? could the injector in cylinder 5 be fouling the spark plug? |
