Warranty issue, 2007 335i 50k miles (Brake clunk)

I had it into the dealership about 6 months ago to try and solve the sound of the brake squeak and clunk, and to replace some interior trim pieces that were worn. They came back with the the pads and sensors needed to be replaced (and they covered the trim work)

Fastforward a couple months, the clunk is still there and I drop it back off... they said "sorry you're on your CPO warranty now, and its no longer covered" My lock button on my keyfob stopped working as well, which they covered but obviously charged the deductible. (no big deal, but I would rather rack up a plethora of problems than pay 50 bucks each time something small fails)

How would you go about making a complaint? or am I just out of luck?

I think the noise is from warn caliper carriers, they clunk on initial pressing of the brakes.

Also. my battery appeared to die last night. They really time that 4/50k well

Thanks

Replaced the battery. So that issue is solved.

Has anybody had any luck getting things that should have been replaced during the original warranty, covered under CPO? or outside the 4 yr 50k?

Ha, I hardly got anything covered when I was under warranty. Wouldn't do anything about my horrible wastegate rattle, even after going to multiple dealerships.

I have no idea about the brake clunk. IMO, the brake pads aren't the right size for the caliper or something. I always get a loud clunk when I back up and hit the brakes, then another one when I pull forward and brake. It's like the pads are sliding forwards and backwards in the caliper. I bought some EBC pads for the front, so maybe that'll fix the problem.

^^^ what he said. The pads are slightly small and clunk when going from R to 1st, vice versa. Annoying that BMW couldn't get better quality/fitment out of an OE pad.
