Good Bye Wood Trim, Hello Wrapped Interior!

Hey all. I just wanted to share my latest mod to my car. This is purely show, no Go... but many of you may think it may had about 5 hp.

I purchased the Charcoal carbon fiber fabric wrap from Eric at PYSpeed.com. They provided excellent customer service and helped me out through the process.

Note: I should apologize for the crappy iPhone pictures. I'll pull out the d-SLR and take proper pictures later.

I have extra CF fabric if you are interested. I can help you out Paul. I'll just have to have you help out with prep work (i.e. removing the trim and cleaning them up). the hardest part is taking it off the car.

Also, I think this stuff is better for interior stuff than the DiNoc because it's a lot easier to stretch around corners.

That looks really really good, I wonder how a black carbon fiber wrap would look with the Cream Interior hmm.

1 yard from PYSpeed should be fine, Paul. I have 2 yards of Charcoal but only needed 1. If you/me are careful, we can do it in one yard.

Yep, saw the same picture!

I'm already looking to see if someone is letting go of an extra set of trim in the classifieds section. It'd be nice to get a used set of trim to wrap and still have my stock to use if I ever need to switch back for any reason.

Plus I can take my time wrapping all the pieces instead of trying to get everything done in a day i.e. I can do it during work hours :P

lol, I finished it in 2 weeks... just saying how meticulously I did my wrapping. If you want to do charcoal, you can buy it from me. I just need to keep a little of it to fix one thing and wrap a friend's wheel.

The back was amazingly quick. under 2 hours. the doors are a little longer because of how long each piece is. The big one is the big center console (iDrive and the storage door painful) and the long one on the dashboard (fingers cannot be small enough to unplug and plug in the cables for the door lock, hazards, and DTC button).

You only have to do the easy part like disassembling, wrapping, and reassembling. I'll do the hard part like holding stuff for you. Seriously though, I'd really like to do this, but I live in a condo with no garage and no tools, not to mention limited mechanical skills (but I can help). I'll make it worth your while ($). PM me if you want to discuss off-line. Thanks.

Oh, by the way, your car looks great!

I like the idea. I live in an apartment so I know the troubles of doing it in a small place. We can set up a time in a few weeks. I'm out this week and weekend. Pm me your number and I'll call you tonight.
