also, my VR works (putting aside the issue with it not recognizing most of the name in my addressbook)... I have the stock software. do some of you have issues with the VR working before the upgrade or is it the upgrade that is causing the issues.

EDIT: Figured out the pop up issue and tested it today on my car. i got the same bug

Thanks. I kept seeing that on the screen (on my 5 day old car) and hadn't yet figured out what it meant.

Can I ask one more question? What is the difference between Ti and TI+? And for that matter RTTI?

I've got the same thing - it only says TI and not TI+ but it's receiving traffic updates.

Has anyone else with steptronic noticed a difference in the shifting after the update?? I have! I drive in DS mode most of the time and it's always been awesome but it's even better now. The car is much quicker to downshift if you push the pedal all the way down and all gear shifts seem much smoother.

I'm loving the new update for lost of reasons:
- MUCH faster iDrive!
- POI Search in Nav
- Better throttle response
- Quicker Bluetooth connectivity
- They added a voice command for RTTI - just say "traffic info"

I couldn't be happier.

Just got my car back, I specifically told them I need 25.1.1 upgrade. Just got the car back, everything works..VR is there, navigation is work I don't have RTTI, so I can't comment on that. One strange thing though, when I left the lot, oil meter was showing full, then when I was almost back to work, it's now saying need +1 quart, with the exclaimation mark I hope it just have something to do with the oil meter trying to adjust the reading and not malfunction of the guage.

P.S. Besides the text font change on the idrive screen, has anyone else notice, the on board guage display text is different too?

can someone still explain how to do this?? i still dont know and i kinda hate idrve since it's soooooo slow..... sometimes it will just freeze and i'll have to turn the car off and turn it back on to respond.... thanx in advance

ok i just got the update how do i know if my rtti works? it says transfering message and then is says currently no messages.....does that mean it works

I'm still very confused....I do have pop-up arrow display but my car doesn't have traffic info. Is a 2006 325, so do I need ths software upgrade?
Is this upgrade also fix the flatspot thing????

RTTI is only available on 07+ cars. Not sure about flatspot thing.

Just another update. On my drive to work, I tested out the VR feature and now it's working better then ever. Best feature is, dispute what other have told you, on 25.1.1. VR will allow you to enter address by saying the city, state and street name :rocks: Before I had to spell everything out except for state, but now the Nav recongize verbal city name and street. also house number no longer require you to say it by the sum of the number "One thousand one hundred sixty seven" instead you just say 1 1 6 7. Very cool. I tried about 10 different address while I was stuck in traffic, recongnition accuracy is about 90% except for weird street name which I probably wasn't pronoucing correctly anyway. Good stuff

This was a feature on an earlier version. Don't know what version my car is (Mid Feb 07 build) but I can do that as well. Although I haven't been impressed so far on how it recognizes names. Somehow today when I said Orange it only found cities that started with the letter "M"

I don't know - it didn't say on my paper work and when I asked me SA he said he didn't know either.

But based on what others are indicating I'd say that I got 25.1.1

Can someone explain it to me? I have a mid-Jan 07 production car, but don't know what this refers to. Is it one of the view options when viewing the navigation screen or something?

My main complaint is that my phone becomes almost unusable most of the time when connected to the car via Bluetooth. If I get a text message or need to send one, navigating through the phone screens takes forever! It could be my phone (Sony Ericsson Z520a), but it doesn't happen every time, but about 70%, which is annoying enough. Hope this new version alleviates this problem for me.

uhhh, just a thought here. Maybe you shouldn't be text messaging while you are driving!

uhhh, I don't have to do it while I am driving, but I often need to do it while I'm in the car. Can be in the parking lot, at a light, pulled over on the side of the road, or anywhere else, and it is frustrating.
