Not feeling the roof line, especially the c-pillar. Not too bad, but overall I liked the original 2001 concept car better.

Not bad but the body is a bit too busy for me and the front reminds me of a Cadillac CTS.

well i dont like the looks of it. i like the r34 (i think thats whats it called).
but maybe its too modern for my eyes. well it took a while for me to like the e90.

i think the look will just have to grow on me just like the e90 did!!!

The car looks really sick but I'd much rather have an E92 M3... I can't see myself paying over $60g's for a Nissan or Infiniti... or any other Japanese car for that matter, it'd have to run circles around a 911 for me to cough up that kinda cash for this kinda car.

I'm not sure if I see the American influence in the design, American cars are inundated w/ superflous, bulbous designs. I don't see any of that in this car, but that's just my personal opinion. I think the lights look a little cheesy.

Too many times do I look at designs and it looks as if at some point the designers just fell asleep, or decided to take a break from sketching because they felt like they were working too hard. Case in point, the Ferrari 612 Scaglietti. The front is very detailed, especially in the headlights, the side graphic is finely chiseled into the sheetmetal to give the side of the car real character, as well a the roof is very well proportioned w/ the rest of the car. Once you get to the back, it looks as if there was very little thought or attention given to it at all, and just as imposing as the front should be in letting you know what's behind you, the rear of the car should give off a very distinct and memorable impression of what it is that you just witenessed passing you, and this car has NO effect on my senses whatsoever, but that's just me.

It's very unfortunate that car companies are pushing their designers to make cars that try to be all things to all people instead of sticking to what it is that they're good at and keeping things simple and clutter free(i.e. Audi). I've seen a lot having done an internship at Designworks and taken classes at Art Center College of Design, and all I can say is that the future of automotive design looks very questionable.....

I really don't like the fact that the back is squared off while the front is rounded, 2 very contrasting looks...not liking it. And I agree with E90-4life about paying $60 G's for a japanese car, might as well get an M3.

Nissan's eagerly-awaited GT-R sports car has come a long way since CEO Carlos Ghosn promised to put it back into production during the 2001 Tokyo Motor Show. Four years later, a new show car, dubbed the GT-R Proto is back on the Nissan stand, and according to chief designer Shiro Nakamura, it's "80 to 90 percent" of what the final production car will look like. The concept vehicle is clearly one of the hits of the 2005 Tokyo gathering, but Nissan officials are keeping observers guessing about specific details. For his part, Ghosn hinted the revived sports car will be loaded with a variety of high-tech features - think active suspension, computer-aided traction and steering systems and other goodies, sources suggest. A well-placed insider said the final production version, due to market in 2007, will boast a twin-turbo V-6 of somewhere between 3.5 and 3.8 liters, and making north of 450 horsepower. "The GT-R has an international cult following," said Ghosn, promising, "Those expectations will not be disappointed."

Here's a pic of it from the Tokyo Motor Show

It looks okay from that angle, but I still can't get over that roof line.
