Apex Race Parts is a growing company that produces high performance wheels and wheel accessories. We are deeply involved in motor racing and high performance driving. APEX is looking for a highly motivated Shipping/Receiving, and general warehouse assistant. If you are passionate about being involved in the performance automotive industry then this is the job for you.

This part time position will be responsible for day-to-day warehouse actives with a primary focus on shipping and receiving. The work schedule is flexible, which can be ideal for college students. Typical work would be performed between Monday and Friday, between the hours of 8am and 4pm. We are looking for candidates who could work 20 to 30~ hours each week in the warehouse. There is potential for skilled candidates to perform additional work assisting the photo studio on nights and weekends but it is not guaranteed.

The ideal candidate would be familiar with automotive performance parts and would provide an excellent customer experience by accurately fulfilling orders, double checking work, staying organized, and communicating clearly. Candidates would need to be comfortable with operating machinery/equipment on a daily basis such as the fork-lift, pallet stacker, tire mounter and balancer. Training can be provided but experience is preferred.

Warehouse Assistant Job Duties:

• Process incoming inventory
• Unload monthly freight containers
• Pull inventory to fulfill orders
• Package orders for shipment
• Process orders through shipping software
• Mount/Balance wheel and tire packages
• Operate fork-lift and pallet stacker to move inventory
• Support Sales staff's needs regarding inventory and shipment tracking
• Maintain order/cleanliness throughout warehouse and office area
• Run periodic errands, pick-ups, deliveries
• Assist with basic operation of Photo Studio
• Provide support at events

Technical Skills and Qualifications:

• High School degree, diploma or a GED equivalent qualification form a certified college a must

• Minimum 3.5 GPA required with official transcript

• Clear written and verable communication skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel
• Touch typist - minimum 30 WPM
• Minimum 2 years past work experience
• Valid CA Drivers License required with clean record
• Must be able to lift 75lbs, and reach items overhead
• Willingness to work on weekends on rare occasion when needed for events
• Experience with shipping and receiving preferred
• Experience with a fork lift preferred
• Experience with tire mounting and balancing equipment preferred
• Familiar with BMW performance parts preferred
