mp3 skipping?

every single mp3 cd i make skipps in my car but not in my cd player... WTF?!?

same here.. but i also figured it could be the CD itself. Try a different brand and try burning your CDs at a lower speed rate. I noticed that when you burn on the fastest speed, it tends to cause skipping and errors. Worth a shot! Good luck!

I used to have a problem with mp3 disks skipping in my car. At the time, many people attributed the problem to low quality cd media or the speed at which the cd's were burned.

I always used high quality media and even at an 8X rate (the slowest speed my software listed), there was little to no improvement. However, after an iDrive software update (can't remember the number, but it included a "narrow" font) the problem went away.

Since then, I only get mp3 disk skipping on the worst of potholes. I would try the first 2 things first before going for a software update, as many of the updates create problems of thier own.

humm. ill try those first. i am a non-idrive im afraid. im using cd rw i dunno if that makes a diffrence. i doubt it will. ill keep trying! if anyone has a solution let us know because as most know mp3s in the car is a great thing

On the non-iDrive equipped loaner cars I've driven, I never had a skipping problem. Try using a regular CD-R and see how things work out.
