Help with engine light
Can anyone tell me what this engine light means. I have a 2009 E92 328i. I was parked with the engine running and all of a sudden i get a quick shake in the RPM and then this.

Even 328's get this lol, its your HPFP j/k. I'm sorry I had to say it especially after all the 328 guys always saying "well at least I'll pass you on the side of the road when your half check engine light comes on".
On a serious note, it sounds like a misfire of sorts, injectors, coils???

if it did go into limp home, it may have been from overheating. you mentioned being parked with the engine running. you should check to see if your fan has failed. cars overheat fast sitting still with no fan.

i would take it to autozone and check for a stored fault code. it really could be anything.
that symbol usually means reduced power. if it turns red then things shut down. |
