10 over in a 25 is much worse than 10 over in a 55.

You don't think it's a ticketable offense to go 140% of the speed limit (which in a 55 would be equivalent to 77, or 22 over). Couple that with the fact that you don't seem to be the most charming individual, and I don't really see what the cop did wrong here. Of course we all speed a bit to a certain extent, but you have to take into account the percentage over the limit that you're going. Ten over in a 25 is NOTHING like 10 over in a 55.

Small town main roads with a 25 MPH speed limit? You just don't go 35 on those. It's common sense.

This to a tee. I 'd rather have a cop not talk and just get it over with then give me a fawking lecture about life.

To the OP you were speeding he has you on radar, no way out of that unless the gun was so screwed up in calibration.

Ticketassasin sucks and their info is so out of date it's not funny. Last time I was in traffic court there was a guy hired, presumably from one of these traffic ticket defenders, for 4 cases on the docket, all he did was plea down the fines and people paid for this representation(oh and he looked like Joe Dirt real professional) ! I did the same thing and came out with a $5 fine and court fees but it was a VC ticket not moving violation(illegal turn indicators on my bike).

There is no quota. Get your facts straight.

I don't understand why it's so hard: You were speeding. You got caught. You got a ticket.
Don't speed = no ticket. Follow the law = no ticket.

No. All police officers are supposed to write tickets. If one months he or she has written 500 tickets and the next month he only writes 100 tickets the superior officer will ask questions. Tickets are supposed to be consistent. There are no "quotas" or mandatory "sets."

So officers won't be hassled if they only produce say consistent 70 tickets per month rather than than everyone else's average of 100?

You just said all police officers are supposed to write tickets. That fact by itself is already stating that there is indeed a minimum quota. Moreover, that minimum quota is defined by how many tickets the officer gave out the previous month. My quota comment first started out as a joke, but you actually confirmed my suspicion. I'll drive slowly at the end of the month from now on.

No, they will be questioned why they are inconsistent. A traffic unit will have more tickets than patrol or any other unit, but overall there is a "window" that's categorized as average.

Again, there is no "minimum" quota.

According to you, there is no "minimum" quota, but there is an "average" quota. Sheesh, what a big difference

a quota is a requirement. an average window is just that...average. why are people so stupid? you speed, you get pulled over, you get a ticket. you made a choice, don't bitch about it.

This new pussy ass prick didn't even bother with a warning. My skin color or I drive a BMW really pissed this guy off I guess.
Yeah, lets make it a racial issue instead of just accepting the fact that you got caught and you're pissed about it. The cop doesn't have to talk to you about anything. Go cry somewhere else.

skin color OR a BMW thing. why is it that all the entitled pricks think driving a BMW makes them a target for cops? they're not jealous. i promise. in fact, you're far more likely to get pulled over in a lowered honda than you are in a fancy m3.

I'm pretty positive it's because you were driving almost 30% over the speed limit.

Oh and be happy he didn't ask you any questions. If you take it to court, he has no evidence other than the moving radar which has all sorts of ways to defend against. He did you a favor by not giving you the opportunity to say something stupid..
