Installed DINAN Throttle Body
Installation was super easy... it's a plug and play setup. I just had to give myself some room by moving the power steering reservoir out of the way.
![]() ![]() This is the intake muffler... i'm thinking about just cutting off the muffler part and glue on a cutout back on to cover the hole... the fittings are 3 1/4" (3 ¼") on each side to fit onto OEM parts - i'm calling around right now to see if there's intake tubing available in this size. [see pic below] Part #: 1371753600405 ![]() The replacement tube(s) i found: 83mm inside diameter silicone Last edited by N0OS3; 11-23-2012 at 03:07 PM. |

Nice, How does the car feel now? Any improvement or anything? Honestly from past reviews and such I think I remember people losing power. Wonder if it helps with throttle response or anything.... review it bro

this is actually the direct link to the dyno results.
Anyway, i paid $250 from a company that no longer has a contract with DINAN so they were selling it to make room for different inventory. I figured i couldn't pass it up cuz it was so cheap (versus paying $650). I haven't taken it out for a spin yet, i will post an update when i go to the store or something. I asked DINAN a while back about that review and they said it does't usally add horsepower to the upper rpm range, but more towards the low and mid range. They said they're not sure why the guy LOST power. If anything he should have seen little to no difference in the upper rpms. The guy's use of an open-air intake could be the culprit. (these are not their exact words, but i talked to them over a year and a half ago and the original email is lost). |

open air intakes usually dyno well because the hood is wide open during the dyno run. It isn't until the hood is closed that you usually feel loses with one. Though this guy lost HP and TQ with the hood open when using the dinan T-body.
when you installed the throttle body, did you just slap it in, or did you open up the plenum where it bolts to the manifold? When I looked at my IM plenum, there wasn't a whole lot of plastic to grind away, but it may already be larger than the stock throttle body. |

Not much difference that i can tell... i want to say i seen a slight increase in gas mileage, but not anymore significant than +1mpg if anything... other than that, it definitely doesn't feel any different. :/ tomorrow i may reverify the port where the TB attaches too is at least 82mm+... if it isn't, looks like it's dremel time. ^__^
