What's it worth?

So, I may have finally tracked a car down. Doesn't help that I'm picky but it seems finding 09's aren't very easy for reasonable prices even with fair miles. Dealer just took a lease trade-in, what do you think it's worth?

2009 335ix
Coupe
Alpine White
Coral Interior
6 Speed
Sport Package
Premium Package
Cold Weather Package
No Sat Radio (plan to add if purchase)
Logic 7
40kmi
No Nav

Exterior looks very good, I didn't see any dings or dents. Car will be sold Certified Pre Owned.

Time to pull the trigger?

$35-40K ~ give or take

Very desirable color combo, MT, and Xi (depending where you live). 40K miles and no nav will drive it down some.

***edit** sorry, for some reason I was thinking 328xi.

Anyways, no way would I pay over 37k. Of course, it all depends on how bad you want it---we've all been there

The only thing I see rare about it is that it is a six speed (which I like, and would pay a bit more for myself--which is what I think you're thinking as well). But I wouldn't let them make a selling point out of a "rare combo."

AW/CR is quite common on coupes in my area---as well it should be: it's a great combo!

A discussion point to talk down price is the fact that it is a manual transmission. MT cars are nearly impossible to sell "in the wild." Less than 5% of buyers will buy a MT. No nav is also a downside.

I'd say go for it.
The fact that it's a MT might help you a lot.
The dealer will be happy to get rid of that car because it's hard to sell.
Tell them it'll sit on their lot for a long time and make a reasonable offer.
When I bought mine I paid almost 4K less than their asking price.
On the other hand don't wait too long.
A nicely equipped MT car is very hard to find and the ones that I was looking for sold pretty quickly.

Delaership wants $37K, which they aren't getting from me. Remember, the car will be CPO'd, new brakes new tires etc.

+1, lots of people that order the car in AW get Coral Red as the interior as well. I almost went that route when I ordered my car, except I thought I might get sick of the red after several years. I plan on keeping my car 5+ years so it was something to consider. I ended up with Oyster/Black interior. But anyways, the dealer should have no problem selling that car to someone looking for a AW and in manual. AW color coupes are easier to sell than some other colors. It keeps its fresh look throughout the years and lots of people look for these in used.

CPO is worth a couple grand, but this is where your haggling skills come in lol...you kinda have to low ball them a little, but not to low so they dont take you serious and come back with a counter offer...offer them $32k out the door including tax title and tags....but i wouldnt go over $34k out the door...and if they dont go for it...tell them to think about it and leave and wait for the call....they will call, just go towards the end of the night so they try to see before they close...ive done this a lot and have gotten some good deals on veh before

Anyone know what this car is worth wholesale? My biggest fear is losing my shirt right after driving off the lot.

I think I could probably get them to $34000 or so. May be me, but that still seems high?

Sedans with these options and mileage are like $30K!

I'd say $34K OTD is a great price. Sedans are typically much cheaper than coupes...

Galves Tradein - $24,675
Galves Market Ready - $26,225

Navigation would have added another $1,400 onto the price.

I have been shopping around a lot lately, According to the "books" Private Party sale is about 30-31k, Extra 1k retail from a dealer and CPO is worth about 2k.

Pretty much hits your 34k price right on the nose.

According to the book, Coupes are worth about 1k more than Sedans, but they seem to bring a lot more than that from what I can see.
