Coded corner delete, close windows with fob, ae dl with an app

So i found this app called BMWhat, which is amazing, you need to pay $50 for it but you can code pretty much everything you need. You can also read and clear codes!

So today i deactivated the corner lights, close windows and sunroof with fob, angel eyes as driving lights and digital speedometer, all with my phone and looking at the car and watching all the magic happening. So if you need to code your car here you go, anywhere and anytime you want. All you need is the BMWhat app and a Wi-Fi OBD2 Elm327 adapter for iphone which you can find here: http://bit.ly/1lDOC9r

A list with all the possible coding for your car: http://www.ivini-apps.com/coding.html#navtop

Also if you have an android you can have this app too! Happy coding everyone!

It sure does, works with all e90 after 2007 models. There's like a lot of coding options, you can download the BMWhat lite app to check the compatibility with your car and all the coding features.

Not sure I want to do any coding myself, but it's nice to know it's possible to do for just 69 bucks for the WiFi OBD2 reader and the app.

I think it won't make a diference, you're just activating options that came by default off. And it doesn't even touch the actual ecu that controls the engine. You're just turning some options on that came off by default. My car still has warranty and i did it. Now if somehow the codes gets messed up and messes up the respective ecu they won't cover it, maybe.

Do you know if the window-close with the fob button is a function that is simply turned off or does it require making changes in the ECU?

Well it does read your frm module, not ecu. This app doesn't touch your ecu. After you select active on the close windows with fob it will rewrite the frm module which controls the lightning, it does not touch your ecu.

Not really, i did some other stuff manually through my pc before the app. The app just makes a few things easier, no cables and i can do it anywhere, and this guy keeps updating it and adding more coding options, this is super useful.

No worries lol I think it's great because some people can't get the program to work on the pc and after they don't know what to change. So this app kinda makes it easier, but well obviously is a little limited for the e90's

How did you manage to do that? Are you referring to the 3 orange LEDs on the headlamp corner of the e90 LCI ?

attached is a pic with what I'm looking to disable

Hey guys - I figure I should ask here, rather than get flamed for starting a new thread asking this:

Has anyone with an E90 N55 used BMWhat to code their car? I have the lite version to test with, and it connects to mine, but when I go into coding, it says the engine is not supported. I know in the setup screen when it asks for the type of engine, there is no option for N55, only N54. Not sure if this is just because it's not the full version. I know I need to get the full version to actually code, but I'm concerned if I do that it may still not recognize my hardware.

I've searched up and down, and can't find anyone that has coded a 2011 E90 with it.

The N54/N55 doesn't matter ...even if you choose the wrong car , it has the smarts to read the model and code accordingly...I have a 2011 335xi e90 and have successfully coded the car with about 7-8 features...great tool !

I tried this app to code corner delete and "windows up while door open" on my June '07 build E90 via iPhone/WiFi adapter.

It was a no go and gave an error code of something to the effect of "cant code this via WiFi."
