GPS delete issues?

Long story but will be removing the sharkfin antenna, all coax, and the Telematics unit at a minimum. Car doesn't have nav or idrive but it does have BMW Assist with enhanced USB.

I can't figure out if GPS is actually used by anything in the car as the GPS doesn't seem to be wired to the TCU since the blue coax housing has nothing connected to it.

Searching here and online isn't turning up anything useful probably because I don't know the right keywords to use. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated. TIA

Great thanks, that's what I hoping to hear. The TCU will be deleted and the overhead switch console will be replaced with a Euro unit that has no switches or the passenger airbag light installed. BMW Assist won't be missed. Hopefully the enhanced BT and USB will remain functional since I believe it's a function of the radio head.

Ok so you'll be golden. Just have your care coded to take out assist. Removal of the TCU will likely give an SOS error on start up.

Also when you take out the TCU be sure to have the MOST loop closed via a terminated cap or just cancel out that set at the distribution block.
