Anyone with AA tune, help me enforce my decision to do it!

As the title says above.

Looking for your guys' feedback as to why I should do this tune!

I still got 2 years worth of CPO and maintenance warranties left. Should I be waiting or not.

I miss the fact that I can't switch between stock and AA tune like other brands.

I know the fun factor, especially with my full catback eisenmann exhaust and gruppe-m intake rep. *Don't worry about intake, I'll switch it to stock during maintenance*

What should I do guys, hellllllp!

To answer questions from your several other threads:
1. Yes, BMW will know that there is AA on the car and yes the drivetrain warranty will probably be voided should something go wrong.
2. The PBX can be used with AA, but it is probably too much throttle mapping. No, the PBX cannot be detected under normal circumstances at the dealership unless it is activated. You can turn it off in about 10 seconds.
3. No, AA cannot be turned on or off. It is a permanent reflash of your ECU.

Overall, judging from your posts, I don't think AA is right for you at this time. Try the PBX out first and see if you aren't satisfied. Then AA.

If you have extra money then buy the pbx 1st and try it, or else just wait for the cpo warranty to expire and get the aatune. Personally i like the aatune alot more. Your ecu have the tendency to adapt to the pbx, so alot of people have to reset it. Aatune on the other hand is a flash instead of a pigtail that tries to fool the ecu.

Active Autowerke Tune. It reflashes the DME and gives the car more power, smoother powerband, better throttle response. I am planning on getting soon.

Best thing I ever did to my car- great, yet subtle improvement in eliminating that initial "pedal lag" and sweet pulls through all power bands. It is doing a great job in making me happy, until August when I move on to something else.

I guess there will be a BUNCH of new M owners on the board next year. I am looking for a e93; very rare around here. But they're guaranteed to be low milleage since you cant drive those all year long.
