If you need assistance with anything just email BMS. The CAN Tool doesn't use a laptop or software. Just read the guide for it on BMS' website. You plug it in and press the button to read codes.

Just installed my JBD last night... I noticed a slight difference from stock at the default setting so I decided to turn it up to about 70% and WOW.. what a difference... no more initial throttle lag and MAN.. this thing is a torque monster.. BUY THIS MOD FOLKS!!!

Kudos to JBD! Toying with the idea of turning it up some more and see if I throw any codes.

At 100% it's pretty amazing.

Flooring it from a complete stop on dry pavement, it has so much power that the traction control engages and tones it down. Passing people at highway speed? WHOA!!!!

Keep a barf bag in the glove box for your passenger.

That'll happen through third (or it has for me). I tend to run DTC/DSC completely off to prevent that from happening, but it definitely wears on my tires. :P

I got the same problem here, installed JBD, got engine malfunction along with reduced power. When i tried installing the male connector into the female connector, it was rather loose. It would slide right out. The little knob on the JBD does not attach itself into the female connector.

^ What setting are you at? Throttle it back until it doesn't do it.

Mode? Or that I threw a code and just have to clear it? I just installed mine 10 minutes ago at 85% . Let's see how she does

It might have registered a code but that would have been limp mode for sure. Seems better now at 85%?

If someone has already mentioned it, forgive me for being redundant, but I think almost all of us will go to limp mode at high percentages when flooring it after start. However, as long a I drive the d for 2-4 minutes before going full throttle, I've never gone into limp mode (100% or otherwise, from the dig or at speed). The hard part is just keeping your foot of the thin pedal for that long.

If you dont have the DSC completely OFF you will go on safe mode, the car's computer will activate itself and protect you and its components,the only way to run HARD is by turning it off!!! That said it happened to me w/o my RENNtech flash when Ive just purchased the car almost created an accident because my car had the DSC on and was not to familiar with it, boy did I almost sheit myself, ever since that incident I turn OFF completely my DSC when i go into ramps or pull out strong!!!
