Does the E9X have common problem areas? (such as cooling, subframe on E46s)

The E36 and E46 had common issues with their cooling systems, subframes, and bushings. Does the E9X have anything similar? Looking to pick up an E92 for raound $20,000 so that leaves me with ones close to or over 100k miles now.

Water pump and/or thermostat are electric and many go out before 100k. Can change yourself in an evening for around $500, so no biggie.

BMW originally said the AT had a lifetime fluid. This has sort of changed now. If you get an AT look for one that had the fluid changed before 100k or take a chance changing it with that many miles, or just leaving it be and crossing fingers. I'm at 140,000 and my fingers are crossed.

Oil filter housing gasket may leak.

Broken valve cover/head bolts on certain models.

HPFP fuel pump on 335i.

Window and door actuators are also common issues in some E9Xs
Blower motor fan for temperature controls may go out.
Neither of the above two are big issues though.
E90 N52 has been pretty solid. N54 is experiencing high press fuel pump issues- but they are warranted for 10 years from what I understand.

Take to an independent BMW mechanic before buying. Get the hidden codes read- these do not issue service engine light and are in the background (eg water pump speed deviation fault that mike referred to above)

E9x doesn't have the subframe issue of the E46. I think BMW learned their lesson. At least I have not heard of it happening.

forgot to mention the OC3 seat occupancy sensor (passenger airbag sensor), it is built into the seat and some model/years have had issues with them breaking.

some are covered by bmw, some are not.
