For the fourth time today I had a puncture, 'cept I didnt, it was lying.

Has anyone ever actually had a puncture and the things gone off?!

Lots of folks have the TPWS system going off, as they don't re-initialise the system, after an 'event'.

Have you done so, after each warning? Checked all the pressures first and know they are set at the right pressure? If so, then you probably have an issue.

Presuming that you've checked the tyre pressures and they're ok, I suggest that you re-initialise the system.

Yes, yes and yes. The time before this i can forgive it, as it was a freshly grit road with tarmac chippings, but the other three were just during regular driving.

Its all done, reinitialised several times over. It appears that its just a bit wank. Why the hell they use an angular velocity disparity to calculate it is beyond me, what the facks wrong with a lithium battery over a PRV I'll never know.......

Initialising the flux capacitor would have sorted your problems,all 335D's have them,did you not know?

I wouldnt be suprised if it had one considering the sum of electrical bollocks that appears to do fack all.

Must ask the obvious, you are doing it correctly? Because you wouldn't be the first to miss the vital bit. Pressure gauge OK? I take it, it is on tyres you've had on a while, nothing new recently?

Other than that, you have possibly got a fault. No other warnings, ABS/DSC?

We-eeell, its come back from the dealers twice with new boots in the last 3 months (fronts and then rears), so hopefully they've done it properly (a gamble, I know) but have double checked pressures digitally, literally not a single thing out of place on the car. No fault codes, nada, zip.

Maybe its just the slimy fen roads.....

I've just completed a 150 mile journey, probably with a screw in my rear tyre the entire journey and the TPWS didn't go off once. In the 1 series it went off all the time, when there wasn't a puncture, and never when there was.

Seems a bit rubbish to me...

Mine went off the other year driving through Canary Wharf, got out of the car and there was a screw in the drivers side rear tyre. Seems a pretty good system to me.

I had a false trigger on the day that I picked up car up... was fine until i hit 75-80 on the motorway - fortunately on approach to a service station. Pulled up to the air machine and it turned out that the tyre pressures were odd on every wheel with extremes corner to corner! Reinitialised the system and been fine since (touchwood!).

No problems with mine so far - 2 changes of tyres since I had it, reinitialised each time and it's fine.

Just a reminder... we should re-initialise the TPWS after any tyre pressure adjustment/correction. Yes, each time we put any air in, or let any out. It is the only way to keep the system as accurate a warning system as possible.

Also if we pull a trailor, each time we attach or detach.
