Fix any spring binding with my quick fix DIY!

If your Coilover or lowering spring is binding and making any strange noise that you havent been able to fix, TRY THIS, and thank me later!
I have implimented this on more than a few cars and it work excellent!
Spring binding usually happens at the top or bottom of progressive springs when more than one coil is touching! You hit uneven pavement and the two coils rub together and sounds like garbage! DONT LIVE WITH THIS CRAPPY ANNOYANCE! It worked awesome on the kwv2's im running on this car below!

It only takes five minutes, two hands, razor blade, gloves and a jack! You wont be removing the strut with this $1.00 mod!
Here you are!!

fix coil spring noise

Oh yes and i almost forgot to tell you, you put the silencers you make in the places on the spring where they are rubbing! The pictures above are just for example of how to install the silencer you make!!
If you have questions please feel free!!

Never had that issue, but that's a creative solution to anyone who does.

I hear ya, some people have no noise at all! Im a stickler for little tiny nothing noises and ive become creative. some springs come with silencer rubber built in! I just expanded on an idea that was already in place with H&r springs. When two coils touch on the top of a spring they will often make small rubbing noises and this is jiust the answer.

You do know this is only treating the symptom (noise) and does nothing for the underlying issue (coil binding)..Coil binding will still occur

The rate of the spring increases erratically whenever a coil binds and ofcourse handling is negatively affected..

The potential for coil bind is increased whenever short springs are used.

Another example why low stance does not equal optimum suspension performance

What your saying is totally correct BUT you are describing binding from compression (like when going over a speed bump and such). on my car the sound is only while rolling straight while the ground was slightly uneven. The top two coils of the prescribed set up (Kwv2) always rest on top of each other and most always make these very slight noises. when all is said and done my noise was so slight that most people i pointed it out too said i was crazy and over obsessed, lol.
Just for the record, ive always told people NOT to buy coilovers to increase performance but, thanks for your 2cents

This is the nature of progressive springs vs linear springs.. coil binding is coil binding..a clever fix for the noise factor.. nonetheless.
