CDV

Did anyone have their CDV removed or replaced with the modified one?

I would like to hear before and after experiences.

I had mine replaced with a modified one. Felt a difference under aggressive shifting, and fast clutching in all RPM ranges.

Curious, what difference did you feel? Can you describe it? I'm planning on doing this soon and just want to know what it will get me.

Thanks!

Basically, you can feel the clutch engaging at the same rate you depress the clutch pedal. Before, if I kicked the clutch in and let it out like lightning, there would be a delay in the clutch engagement and I would get on the throttle (or blip too early) before it was completely engaged and burn up the clutch.

I've driven Shimshimhada's car before and after...yes the shifts feel more direct and linear, highly recommended.

This is my next mod, if i ever get my car back...

I did it on my M3..and the difference is very noticeable..

basically a clutch delay valve was put in my BMW so that noob drivers, don't jerk the car if they can't shift and work the clutch properly...

if you are experience, you'll find that this will delay ur shifting time and if under powered, have a hard time chirping ur tires...

to sum it up...removing CDV will make ur shift more precise, and you get more feel with how the engagement works..
