How can I get my iPad 2 to work via USB or Bluetooth on my 2011 e90? I have Idrive and nothing appears when I plug it into USB.

You will have to use a BMW Y cable to play files from that iPad, only models after 09/10 have the COMBOX which allows for A2DP streaming.

You can probably pair it with bluetooth as a handsfree, just not for streaming.
