335i with Power Kit, now wanting more power

Hey Guys,
Brand spanking new to the boards and to owning a BMW. I just purchased less then a week ago, a 2011 335i with the BMW power kit. I didn't want to get into crazy amounts of tuning, so I thought this would be best for me. I would like however, to consider installing an intake and cat less down pipe. Does anyone know if anyone has come out with any type of 02 simulator or something for the down pipe not to throw the CEL. I want to do the mods but don't care to much for the flashing light in my face?

Any thoughts and opinions are welcome!?

An intake isn't going to give you any noticeable power. It's the last thing I would spend money on. Mainly people do it for sound.

A tune will give you the most power for your money. Popular tunes include the BMS JB4 and the Vishnu Procede.

Next the catless DP can give you about +15 HP/TQ to the wheels, which is pretty good and it makes the car sound awesome. I'm personally a fan of the AR 4" catless.

A catless DP will throw a code and there is no O2 sim available for the N55. So you need the BMS CAN tool plugged into your ODBII port, which will automatically delete the code (continuously); alternatively the JB4 and Procede both auto-clear it.

A tune is the simplest way to get more power ... I'd start there.

Welcome BTW ... post pics of ur car. Not too many red 335s running around.

So if you have the BMW perf. kit what happens if you want to add another tune such as COBB, JB4 or Vishnu?

Conflicts with the system?

Have to remove something?

First Mod

Well, It sounds like the the first thing should be the AR 4' Down pipes and the BMS Tool of course. I think that would make the most sense for what I am looking for to start with. Good horsepower gain plus a great sound from what I've heard on some of the videos. I think I'm more curious how it will sound with the BMW power kit Tune, which is already designed to give you a bit of a burble and a touch more boost i think.

I'm running Procede V5 with PPK Version 2 and catted AR DP. The burble sounds great even after installing the Procede but sometimes the it could be a little too much. Power wise, contrary to what I've read in this forum, I could feel more power when coupled with the PPK especially in the lower RPM. The turbo lag is almost gone and the Procede just takes over from 4000 RPM onwards. So it's like I'm getting the best of both worlds with Procede & PPK. Hope this helps.
