In terms of reliability and clutch slip how is yours? I have a friend with a 30d with a remap to 300 or so HP, and he had to install an aftermarket clutch because he's was slipping.
I have a automatic and and so far i have no slipping issues(so far knock on wood).
My friend with is 335d has also a automatic and he has been driving 100.000km with his remapped spec which is almost spread out on 2 years of driving and has no such issues on his auto gearbox. does your friend have a manual gearbox? I would assume that the automatic gearbox is more prone to hold better than a manual cause manual is directly steard to how the individual person drives and uses his clutch while automatic isnt. According to BMW the 335d automatic gearbox is suppose to hold for 750nm but my friend has 835nm and he has no problems. He tells me its all about how you use the car(its engine and gearbox). Warm it properly before you start hard driving and cool it down as well before turning off engine, not to many redlight starts or dump the clutch to try on purpose get a spin/or drift effect plus dont pressure the clutch on full effect under 60-80km/h. So if you do a lot of redlight runs with a manual i would with no doubt say that the clutch will fail much sooner.

Im new here so maybe i should present my 325d E91 and how it has developed during its 4years since it was brand new. The pictures shown below are in pretty good order how the car has developed during its 4year life time.
It is wrapped and has been that since it was only 4months old. So the original SPACE GRAY paint is in super mint condition and the foil has kept the car really well from our salty roads that we have here in sweden during the winterperiod.

Some interesting specs;
325d LCI 2009
Full M-kit interior and exterior
M-chassie
Lowered 40/20 with H&R CUP kit
V-TECH stage3 remap, dpf off downpipe(dieselparticlefilter),340hp&680nm!!
Carbonfibered foiled/wrapped roof and roofspoiler
M3 evo sideskirts
black grill with 3 colored M-style stripes
Real Carbonfiber front splitters
Matt black tailpipes
BBS LM-R 10"x19" rear with Pzero 255/35 tires and 8,5"x19" front with Hankook Ventus 235/35
BBS rims are painted in LAMBORGHINIs own GRIGIO AVLON metallic paint.
STOP TECH brakediscs and pads
Angeleys, spoiler and registration lights in LED 6000K
16:9 big 8" dvd navi screen with a internal harddrive disk or around 30GB
prologic7 surround sound
automatic gearbox

Say what? Close to beat a M5 e60?? In what interval?

I knew what you were talking about, but my search didn't turn up much. The picture doesn't look like that part number, it looks OEM to me. I have seen the Schnitzer rear glass spolier before and it is a lot larger. Try the UK guys for that part and shipping, the company's in the UK are more friendly!

Do you have an adress on the V-TECH company?
I'm asking because I just had my turbo on my E91 330dA replaced with a Hybrid version and I have some trouble finding someone who can map it here in Denmark.
I already have a bigger FMIC and a DPF delete downpipe.
With the old turbo I was dynoed to 307hp/678nm and I can feel now that theres more power than with the old turbo. and that is without a remap for it. I'm guessing +700nm ;-)

Seriously? There's NO WAY this spoiler looks OEM!

Compare that up there, to this down here (my E91 with OEM spoiler)

Not even close! Now compare that up there, to the AC Schnitzer spoiler...

MUCH closer. Anywho, glad I got my answer and hopefully I'll have myself a fancy new spoiler in the not too distant future.

Regarding the Gearbox on the 335d, its not capable of more than aprox 600nm.
According to link below, the gearbox is a ZF 6HP26 version
http://bmwfans.info/parts/catalog/E9..._transmission/

You need a ZF 6HP32 to be capable of 750nm and better yet a ZF 6HP34 capable of 850nm

The only major difference between (325d)330d and the 335d is another software and the extra turbo, they are prone to deliver pretty much the same since all three models share the exact same M57 engine See my attached picture according to bmw's own site. PLus a single turbo diesel doesnt steal as much effect as a biturbo does, the 330d/325d engines are easier to tune more there for.
Same goes for the Toyota SUPRAs, ppl want the single turbo more than the biturbo models due to that one could squeeze more power out of the single turbos. So most biturbo SUPRAs where reworked to single turbo engines since they gave more effect. anyhow to much extra info here.

I had my car on dyno when engine was original/stock and it gave me the results of 216hp & 440nm where 193hp was on the rear wheel and this was still after 93.000km and bwm says it has 197hp in the engine from factory spec. Pretty nice.

Then i replaced the diesel particle filter(dpf pipe) with a straight/empty downpipe so now it smokes out of the exhaust on throttle reponse like old diesels do

After this i fed the OBDII with a STAGE3 V-TECH remap. It gives +100hp and +200nm, with V-TECHs STAGE 3 remap. My car goes close to even with Scandinaviens fastest streetlegal 335d E92 which you can read about here; http://www.garaget.org/?car=223177
This 335d e92 has 410hp and 835nm in the engine, where 371hp and 694nm is on the rear wheels. This car has DYNO papers to prove this. PLus it beats the 400hp V8 M5 with no problems at all and goes close to even with M5 V10. Same guy and company tuned/remapped my car.

I hope this explains it more now.

That's some power increase. Do you have dyno graphs to prove it? 325D LCI, 216hp to 340hp with a DPF removed, and a remap. That's just erm...

I assume you have a larger FMIC?

My bad, you are right not OEM maybe it was the photo. The first photo looks huge! I have seen the one in the third photo before.

Ha ha ha, yeah it's a BIG spoiler. I love it!

I'd be happy with the ACS one too but no way in hell I'm paying $800 for a slightly larger spoiler. Even though I have yet to see a single person on the forum who has one and it's always fun to be first....

Maso, could you post dyno papers on your car?
V-TECH has a tendency to over do it in when it comes to promised numbers in terms of hp increase. BSR, another popular tuner in Sweden, did post a comparison between two cars first tuned by (on other forums assumed as cars from V-TECH) V-TECH and then retuned by BSR, all with dyno tests. See the link below, section "BSR exposes faked power figures", and of course it's probably a biased review but still: they compare actual numbers from the tuners.

Carlee, time to start racing 325d's?

Rolling speeds. 50-200km/h but when he beat the M5 E60 he was running on methanol injection tho so that dont count

My friends 335d from 2008 has been driven for +100,000km in 4years now the it works fine so far
I have only driven a smaller amount of KM tho.

Ive raced against numerous BMW M3 E46 some with SMG and some without, all different drivers and I win, that tells me plenty enough. Here is a older dyno pic with one of the earlier remaps. Today i got a special remapped one that only has a V-tech base but more fine tuned for my carsettings such as gearbox, driving style and the typical roads which i drove in scandinavia.

Sure its all biest just like BSR claim/blame volvo for locking their systems so BSR cannot tune their rides cause they always end up destroying the engines, there is a on going case on that.

Nice, Thnx for sharing.
Regarding the gearbox, I have investigated this a lot.
I'm not saying it will be a problem, only that ZF that produces these auto boxes only say they are good up til 600Nm

I guess in the end its very much up to the ENDuser how long something will last. I have had ppl destroy original gearboxes from crappy driving style.

Do you know what the spec for the 325d autogearbox on what it is good for in nm is?
