iDrive is Dead (and iPod Q...) - BMW 3-Series (E90 E92) Forum

iDrive decided to commit suicide the other day. Screen did a slow fade of death and is completely unresponsive. Screen is off, completely black and the knob controller spins lifelessly. Going in for warranty service tomorrow at East Bay BMW. Wish me luck.

While I'm there, I'm finally going to have them do the install on my iPod MOST upgrade kit. Any tips or recommendations? Question: What's the recommended install time (i.e. what should I expect to pay?). Obviously the iDrive fix is free, but the ipod kit install will be on my bill.

My I-drive did that a while back and mysteriously came back from the dead the next morning.

Don't know much about the MOST upgrade. Though I'm considering doing it.
