N55 Stage 1 worth it?

I have a MT fully loaded N55 coupe with full injen intake. I was planning on getting the JB4 but its not available yet. Stage 1 and 2 have 200 dollar difference in them. Is it worth $550 for stage 2 JB3 on this car?

according to those who have it, they highly recommend stage 2 over 1.

Just start off with the stage1, and then you can upgrade to the stage2 later on. Its the same price

Full Stage2 - 529.00

Stage1 - 379.00 plus stage2 upgrade = 529.00

The answer to your question is most definitely YES! Stage I is night and day compared to stock. Stage II is that much better.

Go for Stage I. The only problem you are gonna have is that you are going to want to upgrade to stage II.

Stage 2 + downpipe will leave you satisfied for a good amount of time!

stage 2

I keep wanting to get a tune for my car (n55 135) but it seems like way too much wires and things that could go wrong. I am pretty mechanical inclined but it seems like you have to cut wires and do things that are pretty risky. Can anyone give they're opinion and convince me that its not that bad?

You don't have to cut anything. The JB Stage2 is actually a pretty simple install and easily reversible. 4 plug and plan sensors, one ground wire, one power wire and 2 CAN wires. No cutting.. Just wrap the JB wires into the CAN wire bundle.

These are the only two wires you have to tap, other than that, is screwing the earth cable under the suspension mount bolts, and your good to go!

Here is a picture i took when i installed mine.
