Need some advice..
hi, everybody
I plan to take a 2-day or 3-day trip in Boston in the end of May. never been to Boston before. I heard people say that it is very convenient to take public transportation in Boston. My plan is: drive to boston, find a hotel which I can park my car in there then take public transportation anybody know any good quality/reasonable price hotels which have parking spaces and near to subway stations?? thanks ![]()

Cheap boston hotel? I can't think of any. As you head out of Boston, you certainly can find them. Lots of them around Natick/Framingham area with free parking. You can then either drive in and park at a reasonable lot ($10 lots across from South station or $8 lot near world trade center) or take the commuter rail in...

Maybe a good start would be to tell us about what you want to spend per night? Is this good quality for an adult or good quality for a college student (not on the sidewalk
)..

If I were you, I'd go out a bit further west, unless you're dead set on staying in the city. There's a nice garage at the Alewife T stop in Cambridge, and you're just a couple of stops away on the red line from Harvard. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alewife_(MBTA_station) |

We usually have our out of town guests stay at the Millenium Hotel at Faneuil Hall, the Omni Parker House, or Hotel at MIT - closer to $150 per night or less if you can get a deal. A little more, but located in nice location. AAs for parking downtown, you can park in the lots, but that runs about $30 per day for indoor, or $24 for outdoor. These are non-valet.
That Holiday Inn is a little ways out, and if you drove into the city, you would probably be using Storrow - not recommended for newcomers to Boston because fo the traffic and turns. OF course, I love driving it since it reminds me of driving lower Whacker Drive in Chicago |
