How do I check/add ATF to my 07 bmw 335i E90
How do I add ATF to my 07 bmw 335i E90. I have a small leak from my transmission pan and its either from the sensor or the gasket and I dont have the spare money to just drop into it right now. The transmission is just starting to get a little rough when cold and I dont know how to even check, or add ATF to my car. If there is a video or walk through someone has a link I would love to see that if not some instructions would be great too.
Thank you |

There are some great DIYs in the DIY forum.
Your leak could be from the sealing sleeve, its an area that a connector passes thru and it commonly fails and leaks. Basically, to check atf level, the car must be up on jackstands or a lift, remove underbody panels, car must be perfectly level, remove the fill plug, make sure the atf in the tranny is in a certain specified range (car must be warmed up), top up until fluid flows out fill hole, close up and put her back together. honestly i wouldn't risk driving it around with a leak. get it fixed. new fluid has to be to spec, don't just buy something off the shelf. these guys sell good stuff... http://www.thectsc.com/index.php?p=home
