I like Metropolitan Auto and Home. I have had them for 15 years. I once totaled a car and have had other claims and policy changes etc. and I like them.
However I'm a little upset with them at the moment because they won't give me the discount on my Comprehensive for having the BMW Vehicle Tracking/Recovery which is part of the Premium Package. They say only Lojack qualifies.
See other thread; WTF....auto insurance
I remember having Commerce and not liking them.

That's BS! I have Safety Insurance and I'm getting the full discount. I forget if it's 30% or 35%.

Metropolitan Auto and Home for me too... So far so good. Including a claim.

I got the discount for the tracking (at least I'm 99% sure).

I have my house, two motorcycles and the 335 insured through them.

Liberty Mutual consistently denied my claim for a rental coverage when their client rear-ended my beautiful E55 AMG, which left with me a 4200 dollar rental to pay for (my attorney is handling this crap right now).

I have Traveler's and Plymouth Rock (I can never remember which one is auto and which is home) and they were recommended to me by Geico. My wife had Geico in the past and they were great, so we continued, since there is no State Farm in MA. They have been great so far, but I have not had any issues, thus far.

As for the insurance woes, my wife is from New jersey, and they are universally known as having horrible insurance, and it was quite ironic when we learned that is was actually worse here in MA.
