JB4 CANFLAP OPEN, loss of power?

Hello guys, I was wondering if anybody is experiencing problems with the CANFLAP open option on the JB4 stage 2. I have noticed that when CANFLAP is open I feel like the car loses power, specially in te low RPMs up to 60 mph. I immediately go back to closing the flap and I feel the car goes back to normal... Is this supposed to happen like this? Does opening the CANFLAP reduces power? Anyone experiencing this? Thanks

Does not loose power!!..It could help only with some low end tq due to more back pressure, but when you car is a fbo with catless d.p's it's best to have it opned at all times.

hrm... idk about losing power I close mine cuz whenever i open them and travel 60+, the exhaust tone goes up and down like crazy eventhough i set my car to cruise control and on a flat surface. (it sounds like i am throttling and letting it go right after, and it sounds like i am doing it 2 times per second. so it sounds like ooOOooOOooOOooOOoo, sorry, i am not a good at explaining sounds...)

The CanFlap shouldn't cause any noticeable power loss/gain. Why not data log and send it over so we can look at if you are convinced there is something going on.

low end torque

agree, the low end torque is gone with the flap open. similar to aftermarket exhaust, win at top end - lose at low end. i know its turbo, and its supposed to help with backpressure, but most of the time turbo is not used and downpipes are the biggest help with backpressure more than catback.

my butt dyno tells me that there is some low end loss even with FBO
