Voice Control

Okay today I realized how voice commands work in my e90 323i.

To enable/set up voice controlled dialing via Bluetooth, the phone contact will need to be saved into the car VIA VOICE CONTROL - this is different to just copying it off your phone via BT. E.g say \"save name\", then record the name, and assign the telephone number for the recording, and then say \"save name\" again when she says \"continue?\".

This is because the car assigns a number to a voice recording, instead of the contact - if that makes sense.

My car only has voice commands for telephone and not navigation etc. To find out what voice commands are available to your car, PRESS voice control and say \"HELP\".

Dunno if this will help anyone else. Not as intuitive as iPhone but it works if you know how to.

Or alternatively, just use Siri via BT on your iPhone which much better.

Thanks for the write up. Even with just a few saved contacts, the BMW voice command system has a hard time calling the correct number or even understanding what you say.

It's very frustrating to use
