Like i said a few weeks ago, there is a huge demand for xi downpipes. The only issue i have with these is what i saw in a recent review...they taper down to 2.25" instead of 2.5" like most other pipes..i think AR tapes down to 2.5", MS 2.5" as well...even the UR pipes are 2.5" throughout. Why such bottleneck (3" to 2.25") taper with these pipes?

That's not a bottleneck, it's the size of the stock catback

Changing diameter causes less of a disturbance in comparison to a 2.5" pipe wrapped around a flange with a 2.25" ID.

hey guys just an update, i was talking to Tiago at VRSF and he said "doing a 3" set would require a car at the shop for a few days which is very unlikely to occur considering most customers are willing to spend a few hours but not a few days."

so someone please bring their car in for a few days. i live nowhere near there or i would do it in a heartbeat.

Tiago: Off topic but any chance of you guys ever making catted downpipe? I would definitely pay around 600 or so bucks for it not the 850-1000 bucks that other guys charge...

I know we need an affordable XI solution and I'm definitely working on it. I'm talking to my fabricator now and trying to coordinate with a few locals in order to get the ball rolling
And don't worry about the customers waiting 3 months, as someone said it's cold outside, and spring-summer time is the time for upgrades and fast driving,so most of us will wait!!!!!!!!

Tighter tolerances generally require more time/labor. I'm almost positive we could design/fabricate one for about the same cost thought since both designs are fairly difficult in general.

I just checked to see what the driving distance would be from White Plains, NY to Hudson, MA...and I just realized that my company headquarters (Monster.com) is in Maynard, MA...right down the road from you.

Hmm...

I'm not against the "green" or the clean up of high flow cats but they tend to have a low reliability/high failure rate. All this leads to an expensive product that fails. This is aleast worth noting for those ready to dive into high flow cats only to find them fail and not provide the gains of dp's, which is removing the inherent restriction, the cats.
