What would you do with this car?
Hello guys, I am new in the forum. I just joined since I crashed my 2006 BMW 330IX.
What would you do, in terms of performance with this car?. I have a limit of U$4000. I have to replace anyway the following parts: (front bumper including kidney grills), rear bumper, hood. I already bought the complete trunk (including outer and inner lights) of a 2011 335i (which is the LCI). I was wondering if should go for M3 conversion anyway. Please your advice will be very important. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Don't do M3 conversion, plus it will be waayy more than your budget. Buy the m-tech kit if you want to do aesthetics. Get matte, or gloss grills, then if theres some money left over get different wheels. You can shadow line your trim also

Do mtech all around. If you're feeling lucky, do an M3 replica front bumper. If you hunt for deals, you could have money left over for some mods, i.e. exhaust, chip, etc.

since they're gonna be working on that quarter panel, I would put some money forth and widebody the rear to get it out of the way. I think it's better the first time around.

Thank you very much for replying. The U$4 grand are extra and Not considering or including what is costing to repair the car. It is going to be paint all over.
Could you give me some web pages where I can get those parts? |

If that's the case, you're not in that bad of a situation. Click the link in my sig or find Jay, JGMODS, lurkin' in the California/NorCal chat. His M3 fronts and rear are fairly priced for good material too. Good luck on your repairs!

Then you need to factor in another 500 or so for things like m3 airducts and what ever that part under the bumper that protects the car from brush. Then new screws and plugs it all adds up. My vote would def be for the m3 conversion maybe pass on the rear panels if money is tight but then your still looking at paint which will be at least another 2k for all the front pieces.

Where'd my VTEC go?

if insurance is footing the bill for the "normal" repair, you're just paying the difference to get M3 parts instead.
there will be a lot of misc parts in addition to the obvious bumpers, hood, fenders such as headlight brackets, ducts, grilles etc. if the current fenders don't need replacement, then i would just do LCI msport front conversion.

You basically have to work every panel of the car..to fix that car properly will run more than its worth AKA Totalled..
Too old of a platform for repair IMO..sell/total and try to get in something more current. |
