2011 sport on a 2008 non-sport

Through research on this forum I have concluded that the 2011 dampers, both sport and non-sport have been softened since my 2008 car was made. I have felt this first hand in various 2011 loaners that I have driven. I am thinking that the 2011 sport suspension may be a pretty nice upgrade for my 2008 non-sport E90, without creating a harsh ride.

Does anyone know if I could use 2011 sport springs and dampers on my car?
