completed the download for 2012 west cam only to find out the file is corrupt...why?

i guess i'll use the original west afterall..

Yes it does... It shows on the screen of your Nav if traffic is heavy or congested... it will re-route you also if there is heavy traffic on your direction to get faster where you are going....

Hey anybody else looking for a copy of the 2012 DVD update?... I still have a couple of sets left P.M. me if you need a set, please note this only works on 2006 to 2008 CCC Navs (only sells as a set)

Anybody else looking for a copy of the 2012 DVD NAV update?... I still have a couple of sets left P.M. me if you need a set please note this only works on 2006 to 2008 CCC DVD base Navs, this is not OEM, this is a copy (downloaded version)... but mine works like a charm...

Note: I can not duplicate anymore after this sets becoz my dvd burner on my laptop burned out... no more burning for me

... so those who got my earlier burns might want to duplicate it and share it with the others...

yea sorry buddy... yours is not a DVD base NAV... yours is a CIC NAV and can only be updated with the dealers help...

... but you have a better NAV than us, so thats a point for you

Hi! Thanks for the reply! Sorry, I don't get a chance to get on here much, and just noticed your reply. So, my Garmin shows my routes red, if there is congested traffic. However, I don't notice that on my Nav in the BMW. How do I tell? Thanks again!

Is your nav a OEM BMW NAV?... becoz GARMIN is not a BMW nav... you should research more on the updates on GARMIN products... they should have an update on that nav you have...

I can't tell exactly what is added but it include items such as ATM locations, business addresses, shopping malls, hospitals, restaurants, and tourist attraction, red light cam and speed traps, police speed traps location etc... many added info i guess... wait for another year and more will be added....

my 2012 west cam dvd keeps getting errors. anyone else having this problem? and strangely enough, it's almost always on the 405s where 405 and 22 branch off...and occasionally in irvine. ARGG!!

I should have been more clear. I meant to say that my Garmin NAV that I use in my other car. And yes, I have the OEM BMW NAV. Just trying to figure out how the 2012 DVD shows you traffic, speed traps, etc. Prior to getting this DVD a couple of weeks ago, I had a 2007 DVD, and it did not show any traffic, speed traps, lights, etc.

The new updated dvds will just automatically shows you which road has a heavy traffic or congested area, it will annoyingly will re-route you to another route to try to get you to where you wanna go... And in regards to red lights and speed traps - try going to NAV - INFORMATION - ON LOCATION - CARS & TRAVEL - (then you can select which you want to show RED CAM & SPEED TRAPS or POLICE SPEED TRAPS) you can only select one on this to show... (i don't know why it can't show both at the same time)... it is how the info was programed... anyways you don't want too many icons on your MAP becoz it is to confusing... I hope I answer your question... try to explore your NAV or else it wont be fun for you... the more you play with it the more you will get familiar on what info is in it... good luck!

FSC codes are for CIC-based system (hard drive) 2009 onwards - you need this codes to be able to update your maps... local dealer charge FSC code for $229 (just for the code)

I think for the CCC Navs 2006 - 2008 you don't need to... just find an updated Map DVD and pop it in...

so it won't show speed traps and camera light icons at the same time?

oh well I guess I'll set mine to show camera light icons only :P

yea chose the RED LIGHT & SPEED CAM ... i don't really like showing the Police Speed traps on my NAV... makes me feel like a "villain" ... it gives you that kinda feeling?! you know?! ... lol!

can't figure out how to activate redlight/speedtrap icons on my map. I can perform the search for them, but that just retrieves a list within the search radius, how do I have them actively show up on the map?
