Feeler: 330d M Sport Coupe

Test driving a 640d on Thursday and wondering whether to sell my 330d coupe privately.

It is a 58reg, January 2009, 330d coupe in space grey with 26000 miles.

In addition to standard spec it has
Sunroof
19 alloys
Sun protection glass
Sliding front armrest
Fine brushed aluminium trim
Front seat heating
Navigation system professional
BMW assist
BMW online
Voice control
Bluetooth phone prep and telematics
Electric folding exterior mirrors

I am the second owner and have owned it for 2 years, it was previously a BMW UK car.

Will get some pics up once I have washed it.

Anyone interested? What would be a fair price?

The answer is yes of course you should sell it privately if you can, if you have plenty of time before the new car arrives then get it advertised as many places as possible and have a decent trade in offer as your fall back position. Alternatively get a dealer to retail it for you on a commission basis, works better for them as no risk and better for you as you get a better return.

I might have been interested if it was a manual. Shame as it sounds a good un.

Yes black leather.

MOT till jan 12.

Wheels and front bumper could do with a refurb
and it would look very good.

I would trade it in but think that they will knock
more money off for tha non RFT.

What do you think I should ask?

I'd get them done if selling privately.

I'd suggest and asking price somewhere between 18k - 18.5k

Considering these as comparable (both from trade sources):

Lower mileage
Sunroof
Privacy glass
And a few other bits
All suggestions on price welcome however

That's true, but you have to factor in that it is a private sale. You need to be seen to offer batter value than a trader in order to motivate the purchaser in your direction.

If you seem to offer better value on your asking price you can be a bit firmer in your negotiation - and end up giving less away to clinch the deal.

And don't expect to shift a car privately in a couple of weeks - not unless you are giving it away. It can often take weeks or months, especially if you start off with an ambitious asking price.

This car has been for sale for around 2-3 months (I can see why mind): 330d - alcantara-no-nav

Based on the link to the cars for sale, I would have thought 20k for yours, that is If you need a quick sale. If you advertise at 21k, you may not get as many hits when people search auto trader for cars <20k. Having said that your car is a much better spec than the cars listed, and NAV in particular will be depressing the value of the 2 are linked to by around 1500. At 20k I think your car is a cheap.

I also have pro Nav, the lack of this must hurt the price.

I think your spot on there.

After more research I would imagine 21k on a good day (and I would refurb bumper and wheels)

20k quick sale and buyer gets minor bits done.

Now just got to have my 640 test drive
