Question Too much weight to balance new custom wheels?

I just got some new ICONZ wheels. 19x8.5 and 19.10 (only have three of the wheels right now). One of the rear wheels is calling for about 6 grams of weight to balance the wheel and the other two, one front and one rear, are calling for about 2 grams. The company that put the tires on did not put the weight on the wheel because they said that was way too much weight, especially for a custom rim, and that he wouldn't suggest putting it on the car. He seemed to think it was probably bent.

So I took the rim w/ mounted tire to another shop and they said about the same amount to balance. However, their tech said with low profile tires (these are 265/30/19) that this is not too out of the ordinary.

What does everyone else think? Is it BAD to put that much weight on? It is certainly annoying, 2 grams of weight looks like so much already!

Thanks for any input.

2 and 6 grams are very little, so that can't be right. Do you mean 2 and 6 ounce?

Oh yeah sorry, I guess that sounds right! I forgot what the measurement was.

Did either shop try moving the tire to another position on the rim? There are time's that it's the tire that's the problem. That's a lot of weight. Go to a shop that has the Hunter Road Force machine and a good tech. If still bad, contact seller for a replacment.
