need help Pleeeeze- Buying 2011 335i

Hi Guys

I have a good deal on a 2011 335i that is coming from Germany. so it being german specs, the dealer said that it will not be covered under warranty.

what do you guys think about ot being german specs? what difference is that gonna make for me and also can I purchase warranty from a 3rd party?

Anything else that u guys should think that I should know before making this purchase

Thanks guys

all of our cars came from Germany or South Africa. I'm not sure why you would purchase a new car with no warranty or why a BMW dealer would be selling a new car with no warranty....

I may be wrong but I don't think it as easy as you think importing a vehicle into the US.

Here's the first thing I found: http://www.bordercenter.org/chem/vehicles.htm

Here's the second: http://www.foreignborn.com/visas_imm...ingyourcar.htm

I think it is going to cost you more in taxes and showing that the car meets all the requirements needed by the various agencies, than simpy buying a US market car. The import duty alone is 2.5%.

Basically you are asking for a whopping pile of headaches, red tape, and yes potentially no warranty coverage. All for a car you can get in a U.S. spec and save yourself the trouble. So the question is... why?
