Well got the car back from the dealer today. The RO was 9 pages long haha. Unfortunately they said that the clutch was not slipping with their tests enough to replace it under warranty just yet. Bummer so I guess I'm heading to the airstrip event with a semi slipping clutch. I bet it will be toast after the event, then they will have to replace it muhahahah

Bummer. Does it slip in every gear or just the taller (4th/5th/6th) gears?

It slips in 4th/5th/6th in low rpm heavy load only when meth is spraying. If I let off the throttle slightly post shift it will catch and hold the rest of the rpm. If I use the NLS it is more pronounced.

When on map 1 or valet it doesn't slip really at all. So I will still be able to have plenty of fun at the event I just have to let off the throttle slightly during shifts to make sure it doesn't slip too much.

Same with me. Only I have 20K on my car. But if your doing an air strip run it shouldnt slip.

You will be in high rpm at the start of the run. Mine only slips if I load it up 4th gear + at under 3500 RPM.

Damn only 20K and yours is doing it?? Aggressive maps are no joke. The top of 3rd to 4th shift will slip slightly. 4-5 is sometimes worse. I remember you mentioning something a while ago about it possibly being the pressure plate and not the actual clutch disk.

Right, I dont think the pressure plate can handle the torque to be honest. Thats a good 450WHT.

Funny think is my RSX went 70K on stock clutch with nitrous and supercharger, so its not my driving. I tracked that car too.

Damn that is crazy long on the stock clutch. I made it to 50K on my stock rsx clutch and would drag race once a week for almost 3 years hahahaha still miss her sometimes

I think I will be fine at the airstrip event.

Yeah just make sure you agree to a start MPH where you will be in a good spot i.e. 50-55mph will likely be bad as the start rpms are too high for 2nd (can't build boost and torque is very low) and the rpms will be too low for 3rd because for you it may cause slip. The 6AT cars with the aggressive maps/meth LOVE a 50mph start in 3rd.

With a 6MT, starting in 2nd gear somewhere between 30-45 will likely be your best bet with the aggressive map/meth combo.

CARAVAN INFO FOR AIRSTRIP ATTACK: For those staying with us at the Hampton Inn in Ridgecrest the Friday night before the event, we will be caravaning from two spots on Friday mid-day.

Los Angeles Caravan: Chevron Station. 12881 Encinitas Avenue, Sylmar, CA. (Last exit on the 5 before the 14 - Roxford St.). Meeting at 1:30 PM, leaving at 2:00 PM.
Led by Ryan (Black C6 Z06)

Orange County Caravan: Best Buy Parking lot. 2982 El Camino Real, Tustin, CA 92782. Meeting at 12:30 and leaving by 1:00 PM. Led by Jason (Blue GTR)

The LA and OC caravans will be taking different routes. The LA caravan will be taking the 14 up and the OC caravan will be taking the 15 to the 395. These are the most convenient routes based on where you are coming from.

Robert@Vishnu and I are leaving the SF Bay Area at 3-4pm on Friday after we leave work a little early. If anyone would like to join us on the way down let me know and we can meet up before heading out. We will be leaving from the east bay and heading out on 580 through Livermore to Hwy 5. We should probably make it to the hotel around 9-10pm.
