Seat "moves" and sort of clicks when accelerating/decellerating

Happened 2-3 times already in the 3 days I've owned the car. It's very subtle but I'd say the seat moves 1/8 to 1/16 of an inch under hard accel/decel. Is this common? And, more importantly, is it an easy fix?

Do I have to "bump" my own post?

Really? No one has experienced this?

sport seat, standard seat, or premium seat?

I'm going back the dealer a second time on a "premium seat" for a horribly annoying creaking that happens during any type of acceleration/deceleration...not so much on the moving of the seat though.

Sport seat. I can now replicate it without having the vehicle moving

If I grab the sides with my hands while I am sitting in it and then just pull forward or backward, there's a little "play" in the seat.

Sounds like you have a seat assembly issue, take a trip to the dealer. My old G35 went thru 4 freaking assemblies.

Yes,

I have the same issue. They looked at it twice already and I'm going again on Wed. 1/4" rocking motion I have 6MT and everytime I press the clutch in the seat moves just a little. I have the Sport seat non-power.

They said that it was out of the "track" but I got back in the seat and the issue was the same. I'm hoping the fix the damn seat this time.

I went to get this fixed about 2 weeks ago. They solved the problem by ordering a new seat rail. The replacement process took about 4 hours at the dealership. I don't have anymore creaking from my sport seats.

Mine is in for seat rail replacement today. I've been living with this problem for a while, but I mentioned it to my SA the last time I was in for service, and they checked it out and confirmed "broken seat rail" - but had to order the assembly first - it took a week for it to come in. They also said that it would be about a 4 hour install. Warrantee service, and I have a E90 328loaner for the day. Just in time too- got a HPDE at the track this weekend !

Old thread, but I just noticed this problem as well. When I sit in my car and lean back or forward my seat moves a little and makes a clicking noise. Anyone else notice this?

Yep... dealer fixed under warranty. In my case, I have manual sports seats.
