I am no craftsman but not happy with this Fitment

First pic is how I would expect this intake to look/fit with the filter element sitting flush against the funnel piece.

Pics are generic but my set up matches the second pic.

Second pic is how it appears to fit by design. I say appears because maybe I am doing something wrong. I took it apart again just to check and it's far from rocket science but I don't see how it's possible to adjust anything to bring it closer.

Anyone with the same setup have the same issue?

I'm just taking a guess but the fact that the Injen badge is on the other pipe in the picture makes me think you should swap the pipes around. The on your have the filter on should be the one going into the engine side.
Also the top photo shows the coupler after the bend in the pipe where in yours it is before and closer to the passenger side

Oddly the oil cooler line configuration is different on the first pic too. I don't know if that matters at all.

Zip tie it... On a serious note your pipe is not bend the same as in pic 1. I doubt that you didn't install it correctly meaning, your gap will remain regardless of how many reinstalls you perform. Contact Injen for input.

Trust me there are fitment problems, I had to ziptie mine back when I had my old car. The car felt like I lost power so I immediately changed to the bms and never looked back.

Between the two photos it seems that the angle at which the photo was taken is different.

With that said, the first photo's angle is from the top hiding away any gap, and second is from the side clearly exposing the gap.

So I wouldn't say the fitment is perfect in the first pic based only on that image.

The first picture is of a 1 series, the support is different. So it could mount differently on the e90

Zip tie it where? Mine fits perfect and doesn't move or anything. Made decent power as well on a Mustang Dyno. From reading up on forums all intakes perform the same. At low boost seems like we lose power at higher boost we gain

I have not but I guess I should, that top pipe does not even sit in the valley as it should.
